No. Nottle works fully without an account. You can reflect, track your mood, and receive AI insights without signing up. An account is only needed if you want to upgrade to Premium or restore a purchase on a new device.
Nottle helps you reflect on your day in 2–5 minutes. You select your mood, optionally log your energy level and activities, and add a short note. After you finish, the app generates a brief AI observation to help you notice patterns — without judgment, pressure, or advice.
None at all. There are no streaks, no daily goals, and no penalties for skipping days. You can reflect once a day, once a week, or whenever it feels right. The app is designed to feel light and optional — not like another obligation.
AI Insights
After you complete a reflection, the app sends your mood, energy level, activity tags, and optional note to an AI model. The model generates a short observational sentence — something it noticed in your entry. The AI never gives advice, makes diagnoses, or tells you what to do. It simply reflects patterns back.
Free users receive a concise insight based on the current reflection only — same-day, no historical context. Premium users receive richer insights that can reference patterns across multiple days, notice recurring activity-mood correlations, and provide deeper contextual observations. Both tiers receive an insight after every reflection.
That's completely okay. AI insights are observations, not conclusions. You are always in control of the meaning. If an insight doesn't fit, you can simply ignore it — there's no need to respond or confirm.
Yes. You can complete reflections offline — mood, energy, activities, and notes all save locally to your device without internet. AI insight generation requires a connection, so it will be skipped if you're offline. Your reflection is always saved regardless.
Privacy & Data
By default, all your reflections are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers without your explicit action. Cloud sync is not yet available, so your data stays private on your device.
Your reflection note is sent to our AI service only when you have internet and have completed a reflection — solely to generate your insight. It is not stored, logged, or used to train AI models. It is never sent to analytics tools. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Go to Profile → scroll to the bottom → tap "Erase local data". This permanently deletes all your reflections, insights, and settings from your device. This action cannot be undone.
No. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Your reflection content is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Premium
Premium unlocks richer AI insights with cross-day context and pattern recognition, advanced analytics including mood calendar heatmaps and trend analysis across longer time periods, and richer AI language that reflects recurring patterns in your daily experience.
Go to Profile → Premium → tap "Upgrade". You'll be guided through a secure payment flow via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You'll need to sign in with Apple or Google to complete the purchase.
You can cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but Apple and Google have their own refund policies you can contact them about.
Go to Profile → Premium → tap "Restore Purchase". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple or Google account you used for the original purchase. If you have trouble, contact us at [email protected].
Troubleshooting
Check that notification permissions are enabled for Nottle in your device settings (Settings → Nottle → Notifications). Also verify the notification time is configured in Profile → Notification Settings. On iOS, make sure Focus modes aren't blocking notifications.
AI insights require an internet connection. If you were offline when completing your reflection, the insight was skipped — your reflection is still saved. If you had internet but the insight is still missing, it may have timed out. This is expected and doesn't affect your reflection data.
